Have you ever wondered which are the worst foods for your teeth? We all know sugar isn’t great for our teeth, but what else should we be avoiding to keep our pearly whites all pearly white?
The first item on the list is hard candies. The sugar content poses a threat to your teeth and the constant sugar exposure while you chew or suck on hard candies is bad for your teeth. Chewing ice and acidic foods are an additional factor that can erode the tooth enamel. Whenever you eat citric fruits, make sure to follow it up with a large glass of water to help wash the acids away.
Sticky foods are not good for your teeth because often little particles get left behind, sometimes for several hours, until you are able to brush them away. Soda consumption should be limited, and special attention should be given to the ingredients found in many popular sports and energy drinks. It is not uncommon for them to have high amounts of sugar. The more water you drink the better.
